Welcome, survivor! Knowing the lay of the land is the key to lasting through the night in “99 Night in the Forest.” The difference between a successful run and a swift defeat often comes down to one thing: loot. To get the best resources like fuel, scrap, and valuable items, you need to know where to look.
Table of Contents
This guide will break down every key location you can discover. From tiny shacks to large, resource-filled cabins, we’ll cover what you can expect to find at each spot.
🗺️ Map Locations & Structures
The map is procedurally generated, meaning the layout changes every game. However, the types of structures you can find remain the same. Use this table as your reference to decide which locations are worth exploring.
Location Name | 📝 Description & Strategy | 🎁 Potential Loot |
Ranger’s Camp | A small campsite marked by three distinct tents (red, blue, and green) and a burnt-out campfire. This is a common, low-risk location perfect for a quick search at the start of a game. | • Chest (High Chance)• 1-3 Scrap/Fuel items |
Small Shed | Also known as the “Tiny Shack,” this is the most basic structure in the game. It’s a very small wooden building. Don’t expect much, but it’s worth checking if you’re passing by. | • 1 Scrap/Fuel item• No Chests |
Medium Cabin | A significant upgrade from a shed. This building features three rooms to explore. It’s a valuable find that almost always contains good loot but can be located further away from the starting area. | • Chest (High Chance)• Multiple Scrap/Fuel items |
Large Cabin | The best residential-style building for resources. The Large Cabin is bigger than the Medium Cabin and contains even more loot. Prioritize searching here if you see one, as it’s a top-tier location. | • Chest (High Chance) • Abundant Scrap/Fuel items |
Dock Cabin | A unique and valuable structure. While the cabin itself is smaller than the others, its main feature is a wooden dock overlooking a small body of water. The real prize is the chest that spawns in the water by the dock. | • Chest (Guaranteed) • Scrap/Fuel items |
