Discounty Walkthrough – A Guide to Days 29, 30 & 31

My journey in Discounty took a dramatic turn on Day 29. After a period of focusing on running the store, the consequences of my earlier actions came to a head, leading to a full-blown town protest against me! This block of days, from 29 to 31, is a tense and exciting part of the story focused on the goal Down with Discounty.

This guide will walk you through the events of the protest, how to navigate the social fallout, and the resolutions that come from it, setting up the next major chapter of the game.

😠 Day 29: The Angry Crowd

The day started like any other Monday: I checked the newspaper, restocked on Barbara’s Fishy Sticks, and opened the store. However, after my shift ended, I walked outside to find an angry crowd of townspeople protesting my store. This was the repercussion of trying to take over John Key’s house.

My first move was to speak to Aunt Tellar, who advised me to just go home and get some sleep. I followed her advice, heading to bed while the town fumed outside my store.

⏳ Day 30 & 31: Waiting Out the Protest

On the morning of Day 30, Aunt Tellar was waiting for me. Her strategy was simple: wait out the protests and go through the day as if nothing was wrong. When I entered the store, I noticed that my loyal employee Chester hadn’t come in to work, a clear sign of the tension in town. It was a very slow day, but I got through the shift and went to bed.

Day 31 started the same way, with the protest still going on. I just had to work through another shift. Finally, a breakthrough came when Mrs. Andersen walked into the store and asked to meet me outside after my shift. I finished my work and met her outside, where the townspeople laid out their demands. This completed the stressful ‘Down with Discounty’ goal and started a new one: Resolutions.

📜 Goal: Resolutions and Fishy Business

Speaking with Mrs. Andersen, I learned what it would take to make things right. The town demanded a donation of 15,000 shills and for me to investigate four environmental mysteries: the green sea, the contaminated water, the declining fish population, and the fog in the forest.

This conversation immediately kicked off the Goal: Fishy Business. I went to talk to Fisher, only to find out his fishing license had been cancelled, with Barbara apparently involved. This set up a new task: to convince Barbara to help Fisher by proving her products are more popular than his. It was a whirlwind few days that dramatically opened up the next phase of the story.
