Table of Contents
The ultimate challenge in the new Fisch update is the Crimson King’s quest, a grand adventure that tasks players with recovering five lost crown fragments. Completing this multi-part quest is the only way to unlock the ability to craft a powerful new rod hidden within the ancient archives. This guide will provide a detailed walkthrough for every fragment, using lists and tables to ensure you can easily complete each step of this epic journey.
The Five Crown Fragment Quests
To begin, you must speak with the Crimson King, who resides on his throne in the Crimson Cavern. He will ask you to find five fragments, each held by a different NPC within the new cavern system.
1. Wixie’s Fragment (The Crystal Hunt)
The first fragment quest is a scavenger hunt that will have you exploring both of the new caverns.
- NPC: Wixie
- Task: You must collect eight hidden crystals scattered throughout the caverns.
- Crystal Locations:
Location | Amount to Find | Notes |
Crimson Cavern | 4 Crystals | These are small, red, glowing crystals found randomly on the floor. One is located behind the Crimson King’s throne. |
Luminescent Cavern | 4 Crystals | These are blue, glowing crystals. One is found on the left side, underneath a massive crystal formation. |
- Strategy: The crystals emit a faint glow, which makes them easier to spot in the dark environments. Systematically search the floor of both caverns, paying close attention to corners and areas behind large objects. Once all eight are collected, return to Wixie to claim her fragment.
2. Talo’s Fragment (The Glowing Plants)
This is another simple collection quest, similar to Wixie’s. (Note: The video’s order is different, but this is the second NPC mentioned).
- NPC: Talo (The name is inferred from previous quests; the video refers to him as “this person”).
- Task: You must collect five glowing plants.
- Strategy: These plants are abundant throughout the caverns and respawn quickly. This is a very easy task that can be completed in just a minute or two. Simply gather the five plants and speak to the NPC again to receive the second fragment.
3. Roco’s Fragment (The Colossal Dragon Hunt)
This quest requires patience and some serious fishing skill, as you must hunt down a massive, rare creature.
- NPC: Roco
- Task: You must show Roco a Colossal Ancient Dragon.
- How to Catch the Colossal Ancient Dragon:
- Location: This fish only spawns in the waters of the Crimson Cavern.
- Spawning Method: It does not appear like a regular fish. You must wait for a special “Colossal Ancient Dragon Hunt” event to randomly begin in the cavern. You can use Sundial Totems to speed up time and increase the chances of an event spawning.
- Finding the Fish: When the event is active, use your Fish Radar to see it swimming around in the water.
- Fish Preferences:
Bait | Weather | Season |
Shark Head Bait | Clear | Spring, Summer |
- Strategy: This is a very large fish with a base weight of around 200,000 kg. Come prepared with your strongest rod and be ready for a tough fight. Once caught, show it to Roco to get his fragment.
4. Vimble’s Fragment (The Atlantean Duo)
For this quest, you will need a specific, high-tier fishing rod to get the job done.
- NPC: Vimble
- Task: Catch two specific fish with the “Atlantean” prefix: an Atlantean Barbed Shark and an Atlantean Emperor Jellyfish.
- The Atlantean Mechanic: The only way to get an “Atlantean” version of a fish is by using the Trident Rod, which has a 30% chance to turn any fish you catch into its Atlantean variant.
- Fish Locations and Preferences:
Fish Name | Location | Preferred Bait | Preferred Weather |
Barbed Shark | Desolate Deep | Fish Head Bait | Any |
Emperor Jellyfish | Desolate Deep | Magnet Bait | Rainy |
- Strategy: Equip the Trident Rod and head to the Desolate Deep. Use Luck-boosting items like Aurora Totems and Server Luck boosts to increase your chances of catching these fish. Using an enchant like Hasty on your Trident Rod can also help you reel them in quicker.
5. The Final Fragment (The Two-Person Lever Puzzle)
The last fragment is the most complex, as it requires the cooperation of another player.
- Requirement: You will need two people for this quest.
- Task: Both players must pull two different levers at nearly the same time.
- Lever Locations:
Lever | Location |
Lever 1 | In the Luminescent Cavern, near the back. |
Lever 2 | In the Crimson Cavern, towards the back. |
- Timed Run Walkthrough:
- Have one player stand at each lever in their respective caverns.
- Coordinate in chat (e.g., “3, 2, 1, GO!”) and pull the levers at the same time. It doesn’t need to be exact, but it must be very close.
- Once both levers are pulled, a secret door will open, but it is on a timer.
- Both players must quickly exit the caverns and return to the Desolate Deep.
- A previously sealed, discolored wall will now be open. Rush inside to claim the final fragment before the door closes.
