As a seasoned player in Grow a Garden, one of the most exciting and unpredictable parts of the game is the global weather system. While normal weather like rain and thunderstorms occurs naturally, there’s a whole other category of chaotic and wonderful events known as ‘Admin Weather’. These are special weather types that can only be activated by game administrators, affecting all players in every server simultaneously.

I love when these events happen because they often introduce unique gameplay mechanics and apply rare mutations that can dramatically increase a crop’s value. This guide will give you an overview of how admin weather works and list some of the wild events you might encounter.
🌪️ How Admin Weather Works
Admin weather events are global, meaning everyone in the game experiences them at the same time. These events are not on a regular schedule and are triggered manually by developers or admins like DJ Jhai, making them a special surprise. The effects can be wide-ranging:
- Growth Acceleration: Some events, similar to natural rain, can speed up the growth rate of your crops.
- Rare Mutations: Many admin weather types are the only way to obtain certain rare environmental mutations, like `Pollinated` or `Chocolate`.
- Unique Gameplay: Some events, like ‘Obby’ or ‘Alien Invasion,’ introduce entirely new interactive elements to the game.
🎉 Types of Admin Weather Events
The list of possible admin weather events is long and incredibly creative. I’ve seen everything from bizarre rain to full-on dance parties. Here are just some of the events that admins can trigger:
- Strange Rains: Get ready for weird precipitation like Chocolate Rain, Fried Chicken, Money Rain, Oil Rain, and even Acid Rain.
- Chaotic Events: These can be intense, including Armageddon, a Volcano eruption, a Meteor Strike, or a Jandel Zombie attack.
- Party & Fun Events: On the lighter side, admins can start a Disco Party, a DJ Sam event, or a general Party.
- Cosmic & Otherworldly Events: Look to the skies for a Black Hole, Shooting Stars, a Solar Flare, Space Travel, or an Alien Invasion.
