Grow A Garden – A Guide to ‘Strange Rain’ Admin Events

While normal rain is a common and helpful weather event in Grow a Garden, the admins have the power to trigger some truly bizarre and wonderful types of precipitation. I’ve been lucky enough to witness several of these ‘strange rain’ events, and they are always a fun surprise, often bringing unique rewards and mutations.

This guide will cover some of the weirdest weather you might ever see in the game, including Chocolate Rain, Money Rain, and even Fried Chicken!

🍫 Chocolate Rain

One of my absolute favorite admin events is Chocolate Rain. During this delicious event, it literally rains chocolate down on your garden. This isn’t just a visual effect; it has a direct impact on your crops.

The Chocolate Rain has a chance to apply the Choc (x2) environmental mutation to your plants. This mutation turns your fruit brown and makes it look like it’s dripping with chocolate syrup. It’s a fun and profitable event that always makes me hungry.

💰 Money Rain

The Money Rain event is exactly what it sounds like, and it’s a fantastic way to get some extra cash. During this event, Sheckles (the in-game currency) will rain down from the sky for all players to collect. I always run around my garden trying to catch as much as I can. It’s a simple but very welcome event, especially for new players who are trying to save up for expensive items from the Seed Shop.

🍗 Other Strange Rains

The creativity of the admins doesn’t stop there. I’ve also seen several other strange rain types, each with its own unique visual flair and potential effects:

  • Fried Chicken: A bizarre event where pieces of fried chicken fall from the sky.
  • Oil Rain & Boil Rain: These events are related to specific mutations and can provide a valuable boost to your crops.
  • Acid Rain: This event can apply the powerful Acidic (x12) mutation, making it another highly profitable weather type to watch out for.
