The upcoming Admin Abuse War event in Grow a Garden is bringing some unique and fun new items. One of the exclusive rewards I’m looking forward to is the Beanworks, a special piece of gear given to players who side with the Elder Bean NPC. It’s a fun, cosmetic item that has a very useful perk.
Table of Contents
This guide will cover everything you need to know about the Beanworks, including its appearance, how it works, and the specific steps to obtain it (plus a fix for a common glitch).
🌱 Appearance
The Beanworks looks very much like a standard firework you might see in the game. However, it has a unique, fully green texture, except for the spark at the bottom. What I find really cool is that it also features three pods on the front that are shaped just like the pods on the mighty Beanstalk crop, tying it directly into the event’s theme.
🎆 Usage and Function
The main feature of the Beanworks is its function as a firework launcher. When I hold the item and click, it shoots a firework into the sky. The firework explodes to display an image of the words “Green” or “Bean” written in the Comic Sans font.
What makes the Beanworks truly special is that, unlike the regular Firework from the 4th of July event, it has infinite uses. It’s only the second unlimited-use gear item in the game, after the Shovel, which makes it a very cool and rare collectible to have.
📦 How to Obtain the Beanworks (and Fix the Glitch)
To get the Beanworks, you must first find the Elder Bean NPC in the corner of the map. Interact with him and agree to ‘join the cause,’ which will prompt you to equip the Green Bean outfit. Once you are wearing the outfit, the Beanworks and Bean Speaker will be added to your inventory.
There’s a common glitch where the items don’t appear in your inventory if you join the game already wearing the costume. I’ve found an easy fix: simply switch to a different avatar in your inventory, rejoin the game, and talk to the Elder Bean again. He will prompt you to switch back to the Bean Avatar, and this time you will receive your items correctly.
