I’ve met a few traveling merchants in my time, but the Honey Merchant is definitely one of the most unique. He sells some of the cool items that were originally from the Bizzy Bee Event. If you see him, you should definitely check out his stock.
Table of Contents
He’s one of four traveling merchants and spawns to the left of the Seed Shop. I’ve noticed he has a chance to appear every 4 hours, right before the night events kick in. The NPC running the shop is named Onett, which I found interesting as he’s from another game, Bee Swarm Simulator.
One of his best features is that you can trade your pollinated crops for Honey at a rate of 1 Honey per kilogram.
🛒 What the Honey Merchant Sells
What I love about this merchant is that he uses Honey as a currency instead of Sheckles. It makes for a nice change of pace. Here’s what I’ve seen him offer in his shop:
- Flower Seed Pack: Costs 10 Honey, with a 100% chance to be in stock.
- Honey Sprinkler: Costs 30 Honey, with a 16% chance to be in stock.
- Bee Egg: Costs 18 Honey, with a 100% chance to be in stock.
- Bee Crate: Costs 12 Honey, with a 25% chance to be in stock.
- Honey Crafters Crate: Costs 15 Honey, with a 25% chance to be in stock.
💡 Appearance and Trivia
I can always spot his stand from a distance. It has black and yellow bee stripes on top of a brown wooden base. It’s a really charming design.
A fun fact I learned is that the Honey Merchant is the only merchant in the game that has dialogue, which makes interacting with him a bit more special.
