The Panda is one of the most exclusive pets in the game, and I was lucky enough to be online to get it. This Legendary pet was only obtainable by claiming it within the first hour of the Animal Update on May 3rd, 2025. This makes it a true collector’s item.

It has 20,000 hunger and an adorable appearance, with the classic black and white panda markings and a tendency to sit down every 20 seconds or so.
🐼 Bamboo-Eating Trait
The Panda’s trait is similar to the Bunny’s, but it focuses on Bamboo. Every 3 minutes, the Panda will find a Bamboo plant on your plot, eat it, and sell it for a ~1.5x value boost. Unlike the Bunny, I can confirm that the Panda does give you the Sheckles from the sale.
💡 Important Trivia
The Panda was the first pet in the game that couldn’t be obtained from an egg. A very important thing I learned is that it doesn’t recognize mutations. This means it will sell a valuable mutated Bamboo for the same price as a normal one, so I’m careful about which plots I let it roam in!
