Grow A Garden – A Guide to the Raccoon Pet

When it comes to pets that can interact with other players in Grow a Garden, the options are few and far between. That’s what makes the Raccoon so special. This limited Divine pet, added in the Lunar Glow update, has a unique ability to ‘steal’ crops from other players’ plots and give them to you. It’s a fun and powerful way to acquire new plants.

This guide will cover the Raccoon’s appearance, its ‘Rascal’ trait, and how it was obtained during its limited run.

🦝 Appearance

The Raccoon has a slightly complex and very charming build. Its body is mostly a plain silver color. It features a classic raccoon ‘mask’ over its face in a darker gray, which matches the color of its ears and the stripes on its tail. It also has a white tuft of fur on its chest, white eyebrows, and a white snout. The face itself has a neutral, expressionless look, which adds to its mischievous character.

✨ The ‘Rascal’ Trait

The Raccoon’s passive ability is called Rascal, and it perfectly fits its sneaky nature. I find this to be one of the most interesting pet abilities in the game.

  • Approximately every 15 minutes, the Raccoon will travel to another player’s plot in the server.
  • It will then ‘steal’ a random crop. It’s important to know that this is actually a duplication; it doesn’t remove the crop from the other player’s garden, it just creates a copy for you.
  • This allows you to obtain crops you might not have, completely for free.

The Raccoon is one of only a few pets that can interact directly with other players, alongside the Crab, Kitsune, and the Red Fox, making it a very unique companion.

🥚 How to Obtain the Raccoon

The Raccoon was a limited-time pet and is currently not obtainable. It was the rarest pet to hatch from the Night Eggs during the Lunar Glow event.

  • Tier: Divine
  • Obtaining Method: Hatched from a Night Egg (0.1% chance) or a Premium Night Egg (1% chance).
  • Hunger: 45,000.
