Grow A Garden – A Guide to the Rare Egg

The Rare Egg is a staple of the Pet Eggs shop in Grow a Garden, and for good reason. It contains a diverse group of pets with some incredibly useful abilities that can significantly impact your farming strategy. I’ve hatched dozens of these eggs, and I find them to be one of the most cost-effective ways to get powerful pets.

It was temporarily replaced by the Rare Summer Egg during the Summer Update but has since returned to the shop. This guide will cover the egg’s stats and the five different pets you can hatch from it.

🥚 Egg Information

The Rare Egg is an affordable option that appears frequently in the shop, making it accessible to most players. Here are the key details:

  • Price: 600,000 Sheckles or 89 Robux
  • Rarity: Rare
  • Hatch Time: 2 hours
  • Stock Chance: It has a 24% chance of appearing in the shop rotation.

🐾 Pets from the Rare Egg

I love the variety of pets that can come from the Rare Egg. Each one has a unique ability that can help in different aspects of the game, from growing larger crops to speeding up egg hatching.

  • Orange Tabby (33.33%): A Rare cat that will occasionally nap, causing new crops within its radius to grow larger.
  • Spotted Deer (25%): A Rare pet that gives a 5% chance for Berry Plants to not be consumed when harvested.
  • Pig (16.67%): A Rare pet that can emit an aura, doubling the variant chance (Gold or Rainbow) for new plants in its vicinity.
  • Rooster (16.67%): A Rare pet that I find essential for any pet breeder, as it increases the hatch speed of all eggs by about 20%.
  • Monkey (8.33%): A Rare pet that gives a small chance to refund your crops back into your inventory when you sell them.
