The Kitchen Storm Event was one of my favorite events in Grow a Garden, introducing a whole new mechanic of cooking. Along with recipes came new, exclusive crops, and one of them was the Rhubarb. This limited, multi-harvest plant was a key ingredient for many of the event’s dishes.
Table of Contents
Although the event is over and the crop is no longer obtainable, it’s worth knowing about, especially if you have some leftover Culinarian Chests. This guide will cover the basics of the Rhubarb crop.
🌱 Appearance and Characteristics
The Rhubarb in the game has a distinct look. The crop itself is a small, slightly bent stick or tree with two to four leaves at the top and a few more scattered along its stem. The positions and angles of the leaves can vary, giving each harvest a slightly unique look.
It grows from a leafy plant on the ground that looks very similar to the top of the crop itself. It’s a simple but well-designed plant that fit perfectly with the cooking theme of the event. For more on event rewards, you can see how the Chris P. Pig NPC worked.
📦 How to Obtain Rhubarb
During the Kitchen Storm Event, Rhubarb was not found in typical seed packs. Instead, I had to open special chests earned during the event.

- Exotic Culinarian Chest: 34.5% chance
- Rainbow Sack: 28% chance
