One of my favorite obtainable pets is the Scarlet Macaw. It’s a Legendary pet from the Summer Update, added on June 21, 2025. I hatched mine from a Paradise Egg, where it has an 8% chance.

It has a hunger of 12,000 and a vibrant design that really brightens up my farm. Its body is mostly red, with a bright yellow stripe on its wings followed by a blue tip.
🌿 The Verdant Bird Trait
The best thing about this pet is its useful passive ability, Verdant Bird. It’s a great way to add an extra layer of mutations to my crops.
Here’s how the trait functions:
- Every 8 minutes or so, it has a 16% chance to mutate a nearby fruit.
- When it activates, it applies the Verdant mutation.
- The visual effect is really cool, too; the macaw gets a rainbow aura with feathers floating around it.
💡 Fun Facts and Variants
The Scarlet Macaw has a rarer, mythical variant called the Hyacinth Macaw. The main difference is that the Hyacinth Macaw gives the Cloudtouched mutation instead of Verdant.
I’ve also noticed a funny bug in the pet menu where the Scarlet Macaw seems to have two cooldowns. One is a useless 8-second one, and the other is for its actual ability.
