The French Fry Ferret is a highly sought-after Divine-tier pet in Grow A Garden, known for its incredibly useful leveling ability. This pet was a limited-time exclusive from the Cooking Event and is no longer obtainable by hatching eggs.
Table of Contents
This guide covers its unique passive, appearance, and history.
The “Welcome to Fry Town” Passive Ability 📈
The French Fry Ferret’s main appeal is its unique passive ability, “Welcome to Fry Town.”
- Effect: Approximately every 57-60 minutes, this pet will automatically grant one level to another random pet you have equipped. When the ability activates, it also plays a distinct “Tada!” sound.
This makes it an amazing pet for passively training your other companions without any extra effort.
Cooldown and Restrictions
The ability has some special rules:
- It cannot be mimicked by other pets (like a Ditto-style pet).
- Its cooldown cannot be refreshed by other pets’ abilities.
- The cooldown can be reduced by using toys:
- Small Toy: Reduces cooldown by 6 minutes and 3 seconds.
- Medium Toy: Reduces cooldown by 12 minutes and 6 seconds.
- It has the longest minimum cooldown cap in the game at 20 minutes.
How It Was Obtained 🍟
The French Fry Ferret was only available during the Cooking Event. Players had a 1% chance to hatch it from a Gourmet Egg. Since the event has ended, it can no longer be obtained through this method.
Appearance 🐾
The French Fry Ferret is a white ferret with brown markings on its legs, tail, shoulders, and around its eyes. It has a bright pink nose and inner ears. Its most iconic feature is the red packet of yellow french fries it wears on its head, which is marked with a yellow “G” (likely for “Gourmet,” or as a fun nod to a famous fast-food logo).
Fun Facts & History
- Rarity Change: The French Fry Ferret was originally a “Prismatic” tier pet but was upgraded to “Divine” during the Kitchen Storm Update.
- Bug Fix: A bug that allowed the ferret to use its ability on max-level pets was also fixed in the same update.
- Similar to an Item: Its ability is very similar to the effect of the Level Up Lollipop item, but it activates automatically on a timer.
