Grow a Garden: Updated Pet Trading Tier List (Real World Values)

If you’re into Grow a Garden, knowing which pets are worth trading is key. This updated tier list uses real-world values pulled from across the internet, so when you trade in public servers, you’ll know when you’re winning—or losing—a trade. Let’s dive in.

D Tier: The Undervalued Pets

  • Lobster
The lobster is down in D tier. Many divine pets have dropped because of heavy farming, macro usage, and multi-account play. The supply is high, so their value plummets.
  • Red Fox
At the very bottom of E tier, the Red Fox barely makes the list. Its real-world value is extremely low, but since it’s technically divine and popular, it’s worth noting. Learn more about the Red Fox pet.

C Tier: Niche or Slowly Declining

  • T-Rex
Surprisingly, T-Rex has increased slightly (1–2%). With the Nihon nerf, T-Rex eggs are no longer farmed endlessly, and demand is slowly outstripping supply.
  • Spinosaurus
Similar to T-Rex, Spinosaurus is trending up due to reduced supply.
  • Queen Bee
Still top 15–20 out of 120+ pets, but below Spinosaurus and T-Rex. Useful, but its category is fading.
  • Sprigen
A bit of a mystery; real-world value is C tier despite bloom mutation availability.
  • Apple Gazelle
A newer addition; still holds value in C tier. Check out the Apple Gazelle guide.
  • Green Bean
Slightly below T-Rex value; roughly equal to Sprigen. Read the Green Bean guide.

B Tier: Useful Trading Chips

  • Dragonfly
Remains a solid B tier pet and is handy for acquiring rare pets like rainbow Brontosauruses. Check the Dragonfly guide.
  • Band
Value dropping; rare but mostly unwanted.
  • Blood Owl
Above cutoff for value; excellent for leveling pets.
  • Fenice Fox
Stable, with about 25% value difference from a butterfly.

A Tier: Rare and Hard-to-Trade

  • Ascended Pet
Technically A tier, but niche demand makes trading tricky. May need patience or accept B-tier value.
  • Butterfly
Top trading pet; roughly three dragonflies equal one butterfly. Butterfly guide here.
  • Mimic Octopus
Trending up, nearly matching Dragonfly in value. Mimic guide.

E Tier: Mostly Worthless

  • Chicken Jockey
Massively supplied; value dropped to Red Fox levels.
  • Golden Goose
Farmed heavily, with almost no effect; trade for anything more valuable.
  • Corrupted Kitsune & Ferret Fox
    Oversupplied; essentially worthless.

High-End Trading Pets

  • Raccoon
Used to be a high-end currency, but prices are dropping as traders fear frozen dupes. Raccoon guide.
  • Red Kitsune
New top-tier trade currency, slightly higher than two raccoons.
  • Metahuges
Includes 15-second Peacock, Mimic Octopus, 20-second Sea Turtle, etc. Extremely rare and valuable.

Tips for Public Server Trading

  1. Use real-world value as your benchmark, not server trends.
  2. Start low in offers and increase until the trade is accepted—learn market value firsthand.
  3. Bulk pets like Junkbot or Chicken Jockey are essentially worthless, so don’t overvalue them.

New and Upcoming Pets

  • Lemon Lion – Below cutoff; low real-world value. Guide.
  • Griffin – Farmed heavily; gorgeous but low value.
  • Peach Wasp – Slightly below Dragonfly. Peach Wasp guide.

This tier list uses real-world values, so when trading in public servers, remember: your Red Fox may net a T-Rex, but that doesn’t mean it’s truly worth it—it just means you made a smart trade.
