Liverpool, the current Premier League champions, will finish their preseason on Monday with two home games against Athletic Bilbao at Anfield stadium.
The first match will be at 12 PM ET, followed by a second game at 3 PM ET. These games are Liverpool’s final preparation before they play Crystal Palace in the FA Community Shield on Sunday. The team, led by their new coach Slot, has spent most of the preseason in Asia.
Liverpool’s new players, such as Florian Wirtz, Jeremie Frimpong, Milos Kerkez, and Hugo Ekitike, have been fitting in well. The club is also still trying to sign Alexander Isak from Newcastle.
Their opponent, Athletic Bilbao, is a strong team from Spain. They finished fourth in La Liga last season, which means they will compete in the Champions League for the first time since the 2014-15 season. One of their best players, Nico Williams, remains with the team even though Barcelona has shown interest. Bilbao also has a tough friendly match against Arsenal on Saturday.
