I’ve spent some time in Killing Floor 3. It’s a fun co-op shooter. It has some big changes from KF2. Here are my thoughts (good or bad) on the game so far.
Killing Floor 3 – Review
The Good vs. The Bad
What I Like 👍
- Weapon Customization is Great. I love the new weapon customization. I can create my own builds. This gives the game a lot of variety. I prefer this over having tons of weapons like in KF2.
- Some Classes Are Very Fun. The Ninja and Medic classes are my favorites. They feel powerful and are exciting to play. The Ninja is fast and mobile.
- Graphics Are Better. The maps look good. They are much more detailed than the beta. The gore and atmosphere are a nice touch.
- Cross-play is Included. I’m glad cross-play is available at launch. It helps find games easily.
What I Don’t Like 👎
- It Feels a Bit Empty. The game needs more content. It’s fun, but it feels small right now. It needs more maps and weapons.
- The Game Lacks Polish. It’s a good game, but not perfect. It feels a bit rough around the edges. You might want to wait for more updates.
- Weapons Look Too Similar. Customization is good. But the basic weapon models need more variety. They don’t stand out like they did in KF2.
My Favorite Classes and Skills
The game launched with six classes. I’ve focused on Ninja and Medic the most.
- Ninja: This is my favorite class. It might be the strongest.
- Abilities: It’s all about speed. You can parry attacks and use a grappling hook. It’s easy to zip around the map.
- Best Skills: I use perks that heal me on parries. I also have skills for speed and damage immunity. Zed Time is insane with the Kunai. The attacks are incredibly fast.
- Weapons: I use the Kunai and Katanas. The Kunai feels like the best weapon for the class.
- Medic: This class feels very powerful. It’s a great support character.
- Abilities: You heal teammates with darts and grenades. Your ultimate ability is great for defense and offense.
- Best Skills: I upgrade my syringes to revive allies faster. They can even repair armor. Bigger healing gas clouds are also a must.
Leveling and Unlocking Gear
- Leveling Up: You level up each class by playing it. This unlocks new skills over time. It takes a while to max out a class.
- Unlocks & Cosmetics: There is a “War Bond” or pass system.
- You finish daily and weekly challenges. This gives you XP for the pass.
- You unlock cool stuff like outfits and weapon skins. There is a free track with plenty of items.
Final Thoughts & Highlights
- Zed Time is Awesome. Zed Time feels very impactful. My Ninja’s attack speed goes through the roof. It lets me shred big Zeds.
- Bosses Are Tough. The boss fights are a real challenge. You need good teamwork to win. Knowing their weak spots is key.
- New Content is Coming. The developers confirmed more content is planned. The Gunslinger class will be added. We’ll also get classic weapons like the double-barrel shotgun and AK.
