How to execute essential moves. (Assume RT/R2 is held for most moves).

  1. Signature Size-Up: Move the Right Stick in any direction.
  2. Escape:
    • Ball in left hand: Flick RS Up-Diagonal Right.
    • Ball in right hand: Flick RS Up-Diagonal Left.
    • Spam Warning: Doing any move more than 3 times in a row costs an Adrenaline Boost.
  3. Standstill Behind the Back:
    • Ball in right hand: Hold RT + Flick RS Down-Diagonal Left.
    • Ball in left hand: Hold RT + Flick RS Down-Diagonal Right.
  4. Stepback (Snatchback): Hold RT + Flick RS Down.
  5. Explosive Behind the Back:
    • Example: Ball in left hand. Flick RS Down-Diagonal Right, then immediately hold the Left Stick Up-Diagonal Right to explode toward the basket.
  6. Moving Behind the Back: While running, flick RS down-diagonal to the opposite hand.
  7. Breakdown Combo: Hold RT + Flick RS Up.
    • Self-Alley-Oop: After a Breakdown Combo, hold RT and press X+Y (Xbox) / Square+Triangle (PlayStation).
  8. Crossover: While moving, flick RS to the left or right.
    • Combo Example: Hit an Escape, take one step, then immediately hit a Crossover.
  9. Spin: While running, rotate RS clockwise or counterclockwise.
  10. Hesitation: Hold RT + Flick RS left or right.
  11. Momentum Crossover:
    • Ball in left hand: Flick RS Up, then immediately hold Left Stick Up-Diagonal Right + RT.
  12. Walk Back Size-Up: Hold Left Stick Down + Flick RS Up.
  13. Quick Stop (Advanced – with Anthony Edwards Hesitation):
    • Let go of RT. Flick RS down-diagonal, then immediately press the shoot button. The timing must be very fast: flick-shoot.
