The Sneaky Cloak is a powerful tool for stealth, but many players have been frustrated to find that they are still being seen while using it. Based on community discussions and a developer response, this is not your fault—it’s due to specific in-game bugs and mechanics.

Here is what you need to know to stay truly invisible.
Why Other Players Can See You While Cloaked
There are three primary reasons why your invisibility from the Sneaky Cloak might fail. Two are known interactions, and one is a confirmed bug.
- Using In-Game Chat: If you send a message in the text chat while you are invisible, your cloak will fail, and other players will be able to see you.
- Using Voice Chat (VC): Similar to text chat, speaking in voice chat will make you visible to others nearby.
- New Players Joining the Server (Confirmed Bug): This is the most significant issue. If a new player joins the game server while you are already invisible, they will be able to see you as if you weren’t cloaked at all. Other players who were already in the server will not see you, but the new player can.
The user ‘F R S’ also provided a temporary solution for this bug: reset your character. This should fix your invisibility for everyone on the server until another new player joins.
Cause of Visibility | Is it a Bug? | How to Fix It |
Sending a text message | Unclear (may be by design) | Avoid using chat while you need to be hidden. |
Speaking in Voice Chat (VC) | Unclear (may be by design) | Mute yourself or avoid talking while using the cloak. |
A new player joins the server | Yes (Confirmed Bug) | Reset your character. You will need to re-cloak afterward. |
